Formerly a Gebler private serving under Harris Renk, Vance had no loyalty to Solaris and defected with the rest of his squad to Nisan. Vance is dangerously unstable, but whether this is because of years of overusing the combat drug Drive or predates his acceptance into Gebler is unknown.
