The Kingdom of Figaro
Here I am in Figaro Desert!
|Hey, fellow travellers! I'm Laguna Loire,
and I'm really happy to welcome you to The
Travelling Companion. This time, I've travelled
to the glamorous desert kingdom of Figaro,
and you're not going to believe all the cool
stuff I found!
First off, the Figaroan people are just great. Really friendly and helpful, and on top of that, they use standard 'gil' as their currency, so you don't have to worry about conversion rates - those are so confusing! Anyway, they're great people and almost all of them will go out of their way to help you if you're in a fix. Just as an example, when I was... um... exploring... the desert, not once but twice I encountered roving bands who offered to carry my possessions for me.
Speaking of the desert, WOW! It's really big and flat and dry, just like you'd figure a desert being, but there's all these cool dunes, like the one I'm looking at in the picture above. These dunes are made when Figaro Castle passes underneath! Cool!
I was going to visit the castle, but I couldn't find it. I wonder what was wrong?
Anyway, there's some cool random battles in the Figaro region, so be sure to bring your best weapon and lots of Potions and Hi-Potions. There's nothing too dangerous for simple travellers, though - you don't have to be a pro Monster Hunter to be okay, which is always a plus.
The food around here is wonderful, especially the Koltz Mountain Oysters I had in South Figaro. I asked what they were made of, but the waiter just kinda smiled and walked off. Maybe he didn't speak Estharan?
Every hotel I stayed in was really great. I think they were a little expensive, but the ones I was in were just full of great stuff. I think I even saw a genuine Figaroan Leafer in one of them, and there were all sorts of smaller critters. They all had room service, which was nice, although no one actually got around to bringing the food up.
All in all, I give this place a 10!
