|Welcome, science fans! I, the great Professor
Hojo, welcome you to my RPG Inquisitor feature.
As a leading expert in the field of genetic
mutation, I am eminently qualified to bring
|The Shocking Robo-Fio (Mecha Botanica Fio)|
|The fourth Freak I have selected is the product
of the genius of one of my colleagues, Acatian
mad scientist Luccia. It is a truly astonishing
fusion of plant and machine, dubbed the Robo-Fio!
The Robo-Fio is based upon the Neo-Fio genotype - a humanoid plant, capable of human speech and Element usage. My personal research has also revealed that this type has some... interesting... reactions to Materia exposure, but I digress! Unfortunately, the Neo-Fio is simply not effective in combat on its own power, and the cyborg variety you see here was developed for Element-less situations.
The Robo-Fio is indistinguishable from the entirely organic strain at six miles, and can be disguised as a large humanoid flower with various machine bits stuck onto it even at close range. Powered by a steam engine and photosynthesis, it needs only water, making it ideal for trench warfare or jungle combat.
Unfortunately, the process of transforming a Neo-Fio into a Robo-Fio seems to also result in its becoming a berserk psychopath, and early tests resulted in extensive steam injuries and pollen infestions amongst the researchers.
